1) Speakers' Dinner - Wed 17th May

Join us for a fun evening of dining and networking with all the Spring I/O 2023 speakers. We'll take a bus from Plaça España (in front of Hotel Catalonia Barcelona Plaza) at 19:30 and head to the speakers' dinner. Hope to see you all there, make sure your RSVP!

2) Bike & Wine Experience - Sat 20th May

This year we'll scape from the crowded city and we'll enjoy the catalan countryside visiting the Penedès wine region (mostly known for its white wine and cava), just 45 minutes from Barcelona. You can choose from two different Guided Bike Tour experiences: one with touring bicycle (short route), and another with a road bicycle (long route) for the avid cyclits. Both groups will meet at the winery for wine tasting.
We will leave at 8am and be back around 3pm.

- MEETING / STARTING POINT

We will all meet at 8am at Plaça España (in front of Hotel Catalonia Barcelona Plaza), and leave the city towards the Penedès.

Group reception at Vilafranca del Penedès. After a small briefing about Spring Bike Expirience, including points of interest that we will find along the route, we will adjust the bicycles to the size of each participant, and each group will start pedaling with their guide .

- EXPERIENCE GROUP 1: TOURING BICYCLE

Departure from Vilafranca del Penedès to Parès Baltà winery, in the municipal district of the Pla del Penedès. Once there, and after a short break, guided visit to the winery with a tasting of 3 wines and appetizers.

The route will be approx. 12km (easy), with short stops to explain history, territory, vineyards ... mostly for secondary roads.

Touring Bike: Specialized Alibi HQ or similar.

- EXPERIENCE GROUP 2: ROAD BICYCLE

Departure from Vilafranca del Penedès to Parès Baltà winery in the municipal district of the Pla del Penedès. Once there, and after a short break, guided visit to the winery with a tasting of 3 wines and appetizers.

The route will be 40 km approx. with little gradient, totally by secondary roads with very little traffic.

Road Bike: Specialized Tarmac o Roubaix.
